Parking for Health Sciences Students Fall 2009
The GOOD NEWS is …
Wake Tech will be building a new parking deck on the Health Sciences Campus!
The NOT-SO-GOOD NEWS is …
Deck construction won’t begin until early 2010 with deck completion in late 2010!
In the meantime (this fall), we’ll be offering free “Park & Ride” service from the Wake Tech Adult Education Center (AEC) on Capital Boulevard.
Parking at Wake Tech’s Health Sciences Campus has become extremely limited. Construction near the campus has resulted in the loss of the “overflow” lot we’ve used in the past – and we share daytime spaces in the existing parking deck with Wake County employees. Click here for more information about Fall Parking FAQs.
Students who will get a deck gate card:
The Health Sciences programs (i.e., Nursing, Radiography, Dental Assisting, etc.) have each been allocated a percentage of the deck student parking. Students in those programs slated to receive a gate card will be notified by their department head.
- Everyone else will park at the AEC and ride our free shuttle to the Health Sciences Campus. If you do not receive a parking deck gate card, please proceed directly to the Park & Ride lot.
Students who should plan to ride the shuttle from the AEC:
- Health Sciences programs students who do not receive a gate card for the parking deck
- Pre-Health Sciences students (students who have not yet been accepted into one of the health sciences programs)
- Continuing Education day students (including CNA students)
- All other Curriculum students and Special students
Evenings and weekends: Students taking classes starting after 5 p.m. and on weekends will be given parking deck gate cards as before, but these cards will not work during weekdays before 5:00 p.m.
Shuttle Service: Wake Tech will provide free shuttle service to the Health Sciences Campus from:
-
Wake Tech Adult Education Center (AEC)
